Mission:

The GGC Information Technology and Computer Science Club (GGC Computer Society) seeks to provide activities, ideas, and resources to strengthen the community of all IT Majors, as well as other students for mutual sharing of knowledge, support, and development of ideas into reality. The society will promote knowledge of and interest in the IT and computer sciences areas and provide a forum for the exchange of information between members.
This society is essentially the convergence of Information Technology (IT) and Computer Science (CS) participating in all aspects that may encompass both the fields of IT and CS. There are differences between the definitions of both and maybe interpreted to some as the same, but technically, CS is the study of computers and IT is the study of the use of computers for a purpose. The club strives to incorporate all of both aspects within the club and distinguish the differences and bridge the gaps between CS and IT.
