Distinguishing features: This organism contains a slight constriction in the abdominal area. It carries two sets of wings where the front are grown larger than the back. Contains a long mandibles as well as eyes located on the sides of the head.

Ecological and public health importance: The mouth having its own distinguished shape, can be used much like that of a bee and collect as well as disperse pollen. Ecologically they help control pest type insects and prevent an over population.

Ecologically they can be used for pollination of sorts. These flies do have a negative effect of being able to transfer some types of germs and bacteria.

Distinguishing features: This organism is predominantly found on host organism, Contains a flat body type body with 2 antennae, of a short stature. Uses mouth to latch onto host organism. Contains segmented limbs, which were under the body.

Importance: There is a health importance due to these organisms latching onto a host. These hosts can be on a multitude of different mammals, of those, humans. It is important for Humans to be aware, and preform routine checks on the body after entering wooded areas.

Ecological and public information: Can be used as a pest removal, with this specific type of Hymenoptera can be parasitic and use elongated coiled mouth structure to obtain nutrients from host.
