Disk Cleanup

  • A computer maintenance utility included in Microsoft Windows designed to free up disk space on a computer's hard drive. The utility first searches and analyzes the hard drive for files that are no longer of any use, and then removes the unnecessary files.

Disk Defragmenter

  • A utility in Microsoft Windows designed to increase access speed by rearranging files stored on a disk to occupy contiguous storage locations, a technique called defragmentation.

      • Defragment your hard drive

Recycle Bin

  • A simulated garbage can used for deleting files and folders. The recycle bin keeps the files intact in case the user wants to restore them, but can be "emptied" from time to time to save disk space.
    • How to use
      • Open recycle bin on your desktop
      • Go to manage and/or empty recycle bin to delete files and free up disk space
