About Me

St. Augustine Beach.jpg

You all know me as Sarah Daniel. My 'real' name is Sarah Ackerman. I just got married in June and haven't changed my name at GGC yet. I'm getting around to it though. I was born in Athens Georgia. GO DAWGS!!!! I graduated high school a decade ago. When put like that, it makes me feel old.

In the mornings, I love listening to Q100. They crack me up! It's very entertaining while driving 30 miles to GGC.

Family

I have a 5 year old daughter, Gracie, from a previous marriage. My husband has an 11 year old son, Will.

Career

I am attending GGC for Early Childhood Education. I love working with children. I feel the reason that I am in Early Childhood Education is because of my third grade teacher. She opened my eyes to the world of science. I can remember the science projects that she would have us do in class. They were always fun, yet complicated. By doing hands on experiments, I was able to understand better. That's what I want to pass on to my students.

Interests

Photography

My other passion in life is PHOTOGRAPHY. It wasn't until my daughter was born that I actually tried to pick up a camera professionally. I can't put it down now. I strive to be the Jasmine Star of photography. My husband and I own a photography business. We specialize in wedding photography which includes engagements, bridals, and weddings. We also specialize in senior portraits.
