Maribel Rodriguez-Godinez was born on a Friday Morning in August. Born and raised in Atlanta she later moved to Norcross to better accommodate her mother and father's wishes of expanding their family. She spent her early life in a quiet suburban home raised by her mother and father. The company of her older sister and younger brother brought joy to her life and expounded her exploratory tendencies. As a child her family would regularly visits to Mexico, the country where both her mother and father were born. While there they visited many locations of historical and cultural value such as: Cancun, Chichen Izta, Tulum, Teotihuacan, Acapulco, and Oaxaca to name a few. Maribel now recognized the beauty in Mexico yet something still plagued her. The children of Mexico did not have the means to be educated. Many families were struggling to pay the fees of enrolling their kids in school thus they had to drop out. As a firm believer that one person can change the world she began to organize clothes drives for different towns in Mexico. Maribel hopes to return to live in Mexico's' capital of Mexico City where she can pursue another degree and become involved in the cities government.
