Welcome to GGC Tech Talk

What is Tech Talk?

Georgia Gwinnett College IT discipline and AITP is currently hosting a bi-monthly seminar series. The talk series includes sessions on a variety of topics, including technical tutorials and career guidance. The goals of Tech Talk are to provide students with some excellent opportunities:

  1. To gain more knowledge and become better prepared to join the workforce.
  2. Explore other opportunities like graduate school, scholarships, conference participation, funding, etc...
  3. A chance to participate in coordinating the sessions, thereby developing a rapport with your professors, networking with IT professionals and enhancing your leadership skills.
  4. To recruit IT majors by providing targeted informative sessions (including field trips).

How can you get involved?

All students and faculty are invited to attend these sessions. There are many ways in which you can get involved in these sessions:

  1. Students can volunteer to help coordinate the sessions (publicity, hospitality, session moderator, technology support, etc.).
  2. Students participating in coordination activities on a regular basis will receive a certificate of participation.

Contact any one of the undersigned professors for details. Recommendations about session topics are most welcome from everyone.
